HOW THIS WHOLE THING HAPPENED:

It has never been my plan to organise shows. This all happened by accident... when I visited the OBSCENE EXTREME FEST in 2002, I saw there PIGSTY and MINCING FURY. I was sooo impressed, and bought immediately their CDs, after that I thought: man, they have to do some shows around here, not only in Czech Republic!

So, I contacted Fred of INHUMATE, cuz the INHUMATE guys organise the SOUL GRINDING FEST in Strasbourg/France. I asked him to invite those bands to their fest, because they are just awesome. Fred said his guitarist told him exactly the same, and seemed to be fine with this idea. So, we were emailing back and forth for about 2 weeks - until we suddenly found out that we misunderstood each other!!!
Fred thought, I would organise shows, and thought I had asked him & INHUMATE to do a show with PIGSTY & MINCING FURY...  My reaction was: nonono!  - that happens, if a German and a French talk English!!!  :::laughing:::

Well, he was like: WHY NOT??? - and after thinking about it for 2 weeks, I thought: well, then let's try it. It was September, and travelling in winter time sometimes is difficult, so I thought a good time would be March. Right after deciding to plan a show for March, I talked to Matt Bishop of LIVIDITY, and he told me, they will go on tour in March!!! (For all those who don't know me: I worship LIVIDITY since I heard them the first time!) So for me, that was like the cream on the top, and I immediately contacted their tour agency to book them. This is how the first JUST KILLERS FEST got to exist.

The fest itself went much better than expected, although we had some problems to manage. Unfortunately, a lot of money got stolen (I cannot tell how this happened), but it's a fact, and since I was more than broke afterwards, I decided not to do this again.
During the following months I got incredibly much positive and encouraging feedback, everybody told me to go on with it - and when Olaf of MORBID RECORDS contacted me to tell me that WACO JESUS will do a tour in March 2004, it was like heaven on earth. (WACO JESUS is to me on the same level like LIVIDITY). That was the point of time, when I finally decided to do a second fest. Plus, I wanted to prove myself that I can do better than the first time (it is no fun sitting at night in bed crying, cuz you don't know where you take the money for your cat's food...)

The JUST KILLERS FEST II was a big success, I got twice as much visitors than in the first year (which was even scary, cuz the location was too small). I was very glad about it all, the only really sucking thing was, that so many things at the location got destroyed, and also the repair costs of the P.A. were a lot higher than the rent for it.

Well, after the second fest I had promised my boyfriend Andy to quit organising shows - he thought it was just too much stress for me.
A short time after the fest, on April 12, 2004, my ex-boyfriend Rüdiger died in an accident. We have been together for almost 8 years.
Although I have listened to Death & Grind before we first met, I am convinced that he did a big part in making me love this kind of music even more. This was the reason for doing the JUST KILLERS FEST III, I dedicated it to him chose only bands he has loved.
